Description
Tapentadol is used to make pain or neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy severe enough to require daily, 24-hour, long-term analgesia for which alternative treatment options are inadequate.
Not for use as a analgesic. Use only if alternative treatment options (eg, non-opioid analgesics, immediate-release opioids) are ineffective, not tolerated, or otherwise insufficient to provide adequate pain management.
